A word from Administration

  • John Bosco had a great admiration for St Francis de Sales (1567-1622). Francis, who was born near Geneva, 21 August 1567, was patron saint of Piedmont and Savoy and much loved by John Bosco -Fr Augustine Sellam

Our Mission Work

The Missionaries in Kenya offer pastoral services in nine houses, and in Tanzania in eight houses. Besides pastoral activities the missionaries also look for ways to support people in daily activities, like Basic education, livelihood, emergency interventions, food relief, basic agriculture, refugee assistance and training, vocational and technical education, water, hygiene and sanitation.

To keep services available to the most vulnerable youth we mainly depend on donations. We also run a street children program in our centre called Bosco Boys Nairobi. Currently around 200 children are in our care. About each mission particularly you can read more by clicking on the particular house below.

Why we dedicate our lives and our activities to the service of young people?

We feel called by God to walk in the footsteps of our founder. “The Lord made clear to Don Bosco that he was to direct his mission first and foremost to the young especially to those who are poorer.”

We believe that this choice for young people is of supreme importance: “Young people are at the age when they must make basic life-choices which affect the future of society”.

We are convinced that our option for the poorer youth of society is imperative. They are at a greater disadvantage, more impressionable, more vulnerable and often exposed to grave danger thus making them easy “victims of injustice”.
